Recess Games:
The PTA is working to put together a recess program of organizing games during the morning recess on Thursday's at 10:20 until 10:40. We need adult volunteers to make this happen! The goal is to have organized games to engage children in learning new ways to play outside. There are many benefits to a program such as this. If you are interested in helping us to get it off the ground, let us know soon.
Bellevue Schools Foundation Representative:
Sherwood Forest is in need of a volunteer to be our Bellevue Schools Foundation (BSF) representative. The rep. would make an essential link between our School, PTA Board and the Foundation. The commitment is for the 2011-12 school year. More information is attached here .
PTA Grant Review Committee:
WHERE DOES THE PTA MONEY GO?
The PTA is convening a Grant Review Committee and need volunteers who are interested in serving. The PTA receives applications for grants from teachers and staff which are then reviewed by the committee which makes recommendations to the PTA Board who will then present to the PTA membership for approval at a scheduled PTA meeting.
The commitment is to meet with the other members of the committee prior to scheduled PTA Board meetings.
Typically meetings are 2 hours in length. There could be anywhere from 2 to 8 meetings throughout the school year depending on availability of funds and number of applications. If you are interested please contact Jennifer Karls at PTASherwoodForest@gmail.com
